Disclaimer for the Use of E-Dash E-Bikes

Safe and Compliant Use: Before using E-Dash electric bikes, all users must be informed and comply with the current traffic regulations for electric bikes in New South Wales (NSW), and other applicable jurisdictions. For complete details, please refer to the NSW Department of Transportation website, accessible via this link: Electric Bike Regulations in NSW.

General and Safety Regulations:

  • Maximum Speed: Speed under electric power should not exceed 25 km/h. Exceeding this speed limit can result in fines and warranty loss.
  • Lane and Path Use: Use designated bike lanes when available and always yield to pedestrians on shared paths by slowing down and maintaining a safe distance.
  • Helmet and Safety Equipment: The use of approved helmets, properly fitted, is mandatory for all occupants (driver and passenger) at all times. Additional safety equipment such as lights and reflectors is recommended, especially in low visibility conditions.
  • Mobile Phone Use: The use of mobile phones while operating an E-Bike is prohibited, except through a hands-free device. Users must adhere to all local laws regarding the use of mobile devices while driving.

Modification Restrictions:

  • Alterations Prohibited: Modifications to the electrical or mechanical systems that could change the manufacturer’s original specifications or exceed legal speed limits are strictly prohibited. Any such modifications will void the warranty and absolve our company from any liability resulting from these modifications.

User Responsibilities:

  • Minor Supervision: Parents or legal guardians are responsible for supervising minor users, ensuring their compliance with all traffic and safety rules.
  • Proper Use: Users must not engage the bike in illegal activities, including but not limited to illegal racing or maneuvers that jeopardize the safety of oneself or others.

Use Limitations in Public Areas:

  • The operation of E-Bikes in exclusively pedestrian areas or in zones where electric vehicles are forbidden is not allowed.

Liability Disclaimer:

  • Our company will not be responsible for personal injuries, third-party injuries, or property damage resulting from non-compliance with these regulations, negligent use, unauthorized modifications, or accidents involving E-Dash E-Bikes. By using an E-Dash E-Bike, users release the company from any claims related to such incidents.
